About Pireas Weather Station
The station is powered by a Davis Wireless Vantage Pro2 Plus with 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield. The data is collected every minute and the site
is updated roughly every 10 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Link software and data logger. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge, thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy
possible.
Temperature and humidity sensors are enclosed in a solar-powered, 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield. Shield combines fan aspiration and passive shielding to minimize the effects of solar radiation. The Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus
went into service on April 12th 2002.

its city center (municipality of Athens), and lies along the east coast of the Saronic Gulf.

Piraeus is placed among the top ten ports in container traffic in Europe and the top container port in the Eastern Mediterranean The city hosted events in both the 1896 and 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens. The University of Piraeus is one of the largest universities in Greece.
